Abstract:
Production optimization is one of the biggest challenges that Oil & Gas producers face on a daily basis. It is hence of foremost importance to have appropriate tools to help building an optimum field management, such as defining the optimum injection strategy or optimizing ICV management for instance when it comes to Pre-Salt fields. In this talk we will cover a couple of solutions that can support the reservoir engineer in his quest for more oil. These solutions allow to optimize the production while honoring field operations constraints and range from in-built balancing optimizer, full loop well controls optimization to more advanced implementations through Python extensibility.
Bio:
Flora Marques is a Reservoir Engineer currently working as the Reservoir Engineering and Planning Business Lead for Brazil, based in Rio de Janeiro since January 2019. She holds both an engineering masters degree from Ecole des Mines de Paris and a business masters degree in energy economics and geopolitics from the Paris School of International Affairs. Before moving to Rio de Janeiro, she worked in the Simulation Center of Excellence in Abingdon UK, where she was part of the reservoir engineering solutions group, working on consulting projects, delivering trainings and supporting customers worldwide. There she also worked initially as a Quality Assurance Engineer and Product Analyst for reservoir engineering software and simulators.
